Proteomics methods have several applications in various fields especially in health science and clinics. The proteome is the entire set of proteins that is produced or modified by an organism or system. Proteomics is widely envisioned as playing a significant role in the translation of genomics to clinically useful applications, especially in the areas of diagnostics and prognostics.
